As secretary, I do not intend to make the vote secret. Personally, I would like to see the vote secret.
I think the best way to make the vote secret is that the DPL makes a decision. We have a process that can deal with people not agreeing with that decision.

We dedicate this website to the community of people who wish to help clear the air around a sad and painful series of events. For those of you who have helped, and for those of you who are curious about the truth in this situation, and especially for those of you who believe wrongs can be made right through acknowledgement of harm and work to understand, we welcome you.
False accusations were made against Richard Stallman in September 2019. Although others pointed out the mistakes, the stage had been set for a cascade of defamatory reactions that followed and spread like wildfire. This was fueled by misquotes and distortion of events in mainstream headlines, blogs, and social media, leading ultimately to Stallman's resignation from his positions at MIT and the FSF.
ずれたんで直したよ 0388login:Penguin2021/04/13(火) 21:41:08.10ID:quEIfoRV The board of the Free Software Foundation (FSF) have issued a statement regarding the election of Richard Stallman:
すでに公的な立場で意見表明した開発者は複数人いるからな 本来なら、それは越権行為に当たると思うぞ 0412login:Penguin2021/04/19(月) 01:38:44.80ID:b6brF/TS Choice 7: Debian will not issue a public statement on this issue
The Debian Project will not issue a public statement on whether Richard Stallman should be removed from leadership positions or not.
Any individual (including Debian members) wishing to (co-)sign any of the open letters on this subject is invited to do this in a personal capacity.

Since at that time option 1 is no longer in the Schwartz set, and so that defeat is no longer relevant.

Most of the non DPL-electing GRs are at risk of tearing Debian Project apart. And IMO this is the least dangerous option. It's not because we are not interested in non-technical affairs.
