Recently a book on Japanese ladies figure skaters was published in Japan.
In this book, both Yukina Ota and Miki Ando recounted their experience at 2003 Junior Worlds.
They both mention how wonderful Carolina is both as a skater and as a person.

Miki Ando skated badly in the short program and was quite crestfallen
when Carolina came and gave Miki a hug and said "You will do wonderfully in the long program".
Miki Ando credits Kostner for being absolutely sincere and by her action teaching Miki
what maturitymeans in terms of competitive figure skating. (Tak)
