英国の公立理数英才高校。高校2年制(大学進学課程のみのsixth form college)。
16歳終了時の全国共通学力テストGCSEの数学理科で高得点(9段階評価 9が最高 数学８以上 理科7以上)の志願者に数学テストを課し選抜。
内申書は使わない。
高校入学後は必須の数学物理コンピューター科学を含め、高校入学時に大学入試共通テストA Level Examinationに使う科目３ないし4科目を決め、その科目だけを学ぶ。
ケンブリッジ大学セント・ジョンズ・カレッジが、2014年創立であっという間に英国トップ公立進学校となったKing's College London Mathematics SchoolとUniversity of Exeter Exeter Mathematics Schoolに続き、
Cambridge Mathematics Schoolを設立。
大学附属ではあるが、エスカレーター式ではなく、大学共通テストA Level Examinationを受験して大学進学する入試選抜制のsixth form college(高2と高3の2年間課程)が英国では3校できることになる。
