デビスカップでの連勝記録は、1位がバグダティスの36勝、2位がボルグの33勝、3位がBo・ベッカー（ドイツ）とR・ナダル（スペイン）の22勝となっており、ナダルは現在記録を伸ばしている。
ポルトガルかオランダ引かなければ錦織不在でも楽勝出来そうだ
太郎は不安定だし添田は歳 、竜馬は怪我開けてからCHでも中々勝てずFUにまで出て来る始末。
サンティはまだCHでも中々結果が出ない。内山も同上。
こんな状態の面子の中から否が応でも出さざるを得ないのに何処に勝てる要素があるんだ?
流石にコロンビア、インド、ハンガリー、ベラルーシにはダニエル杉田でも十分だろう
インドはグラスになったら苦しいぞ。次はインドでのホームだからな。
もしグラスでの対戦なら、芝をこなせる杉田は何とか互角にやり合えるだろう

一方でブラジルは出場しそうな選手は全員ハードが不得手。
ツアー勝率は全員４割未満で、モンテロに至っては１勝もしたことがない。
ブラジルホームなら勝てる気は全くしないが、日本ホームなら６：４くらいで
日本有利だと思う。
ダブルスのメロソアレスに勝つのは厳しいから、
ダニエルか杉田がシングルスで1勝する必要があるな
悪いがその見方は楽観的に過ぎると思う。
ブラジル勢はあくまでも「ツアーレベルの選手達とのハード成績」で不得手なだけで
ドゥトラシウバですらCHではハード優勝経験がある。
勿論ベルッチは言わずもがな。
そしてダブルスに控えてるのがメロソアレスの鉄板コンビ。
こんなの日本がホームでハード引けたからと言って慰め程度のアドバンテージにしかならないよ。
西岡が居ない以上、錦織が万全の上ウッチー確変状態でコリが単複3戦全勝する以外で勝てるプランが見えない。

20世紀のデビスカップは本当に地方巡業だった。
宮崎シーガイアでやったこともあったし。
会場が固定されるようになったのはなみはやドームでやるようになってから。
その後サーフェイスの問題なんかもあって、有明開催にという流れだったかと
テニス界への貢献だと思うが
次は確実に錦織出ないだろうし。
